Who are we?
SOS is an independent campaign action group that represents the views of a broad cross-section of Stoke City supporters. SOS is not affiliated to any other supporters' organisation.

How did we start?
SOS was founded in March 1999, born out of frustration caused by under-investment in the football club, our current 2nd Division position, and a lack of vision and ambition on the part of the Board of Directors. Concern  for the future of Stoke City is well documented - the foundation of an independent supporters association, the 1998 Kings Hall Forum, and the recent fans consortium scheme have shown how deeply supporters feel about their club. SOS provides an alternative approach with the specific aim of encouraging new investment in the football club and representing the view of the supporter as a customer, as well as raising awareness of the club's plight at a national level.

What is our mission?
"SOS is a group of supporters who are committed to the regeneration of Stoke City Football Club as an innovative, community based, top 30 English football club that cherishes, values and nurtures its supporters. Stoke City should be a place where families and friends can meet, and where there is a real sense of pride and passion in all that we do."

What do we want to see happen?
SOS wants to see change in the way the club is run. SOS wants the true potential of the club realised - it's loyal support base, a respected brand and The Britannia Stadium should be the building blocks for a strategy of regeneration. The Board of Directors must demonstrate their ambition by investing themselves or by advertising Stoke City Football Club "for sale." If the Board will not or cannot enable change, then they should make way for others to try. We want all avenues explored openly and with the recognition to the importance of the supporter, the customer, as the future of the football club.

How do we operate?
SOS is an informal, flexible, and consultative organisation. Supporters are linked by a clear mission that underpins all that we do. SOS is maintained through voluntary contributions and is non-profit-making.

What activities do we support?
SOS supports peaceful action. Our activities are focused away from the field of play and encourage a positive message for a change through fun and friendship. SOS is 100% behind the team on the pitch.
